The Philanthropic work of NIWFS was started with a celebration of Teej- one of the important hindu festival of Nepal, at the Pasupati Old age Home, Kathmandu. The Chief Guest for the program was Mrs. Sheikh Chand Tara (President, National Women Commission) and the guest of honor was Mr. Abhay Kumar (First Secretary, Embassy of India to Nepal). In the program, Teej was celebrated with senior citizens who were living in the old age home and lunch and snacks and souvenirs were distributed to the senior citizens.
